Message from the Principal

Dear Hornet Families,

At Harpursville, we believe that when the hive works together, we thrive together! A strong partnership between home and school is the key to helping every young Hornet succeed. We’re committed to creating a nurturing and challenging learning environment—and your support and involvement make a big difference.

Here are some Hornet Tips to help your child soar to their full potential:

Buzz into books: Read with your child every day, even just 15–20 minutes. It builds vocabulary, understanding, and a lifelong love of reading.

Trim screen time: Keep screen time in check—especially before bed—to help your Hornet stay sharp and focused.

Celebrate the buzz: Cheer on effort and progress, not just grades. Hard work and a positive attitude help our Hornets grow strong!

Rest and refuel: A good night’s sleep and healthy meals help your child stay energized and ready to learn.

Stay connected: Use ParentSquare to keep in touch with your child’s teacher. Together, we can make sure your Hornet gets the support they need to succeed.

By working as a team, we can build a strong foundation for your child’s academic and personal growth. If you ever have questions or need help, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office.

Let’s keep the hive buzzing with success!

Warm regards,
Kevin Walsh
